Machining and Design Services
Alexander’s machining and design section has a two-fold purpose: (1) produce custom, precision parts and components for a wide range of clients and (2) provide machining expertise to support our fabrication and design projects.
|
| Our highly-qualified machinists use manual and computerized (CNC) equipment to manufacture intricately machined products. The metal and plastic parts are machined in both small and large quantities, and many of our machining projects include heat treating and chroming. The patented KoreChuck™ [shown right] is an item we produce and ship nationally for the paper industry. |
|
Many clients provide us with existing CAD drawings or prints, or they ask us to upload their existing computer files to produce items we have machined for them in the past. Turn-around is quick. We personally deliver items in the local area, ship via UPS, and use common carrier trucking for large palletized lots. |
 |
Many other clients, however, come to us with only their ideas and a hand-sketch, or in some cases an equipment or machinery problem they have identified but cannot remedy. Our designer, with nearly two decades of hands-on experience, meets with the client, discusses project goals and objectives, determines possible problem areas, and considers alternative approaches. The machining process begins once the client approves the final CAD drawings. |
|
In addition to producing precision, machined
components for clients, Alexander's
machinists support the company's
fabrication efforts. An on-site machine
shop provides our fabricators with the
custom, precision parts required for nearly
all of the machinery and equipment we
produce and modify.
